This piece was designed to showcase the turquoise colored stone beads that I had used in Global Warming. There, the beads had been buried in the centers of some anemone like creatures and one could hardly see them. I wanted them to be a focal point. I also wanted to work with ?Bright? colors and use bugle beads to create several different textures. Most of the face is pieced cotton with some design elements appliquéd. Of note are the two kinds of nail head beads and the long bugle beads at the bottom which are vintage white-heart bugles, the like of which I had never seen before.
