Lotus Eater "
by Thom Atkins The face is of cotton, machine sewn and appliquéd, then quilted with glass and red coral beads. The piece started with a bolt of fabric leaping off the shelf, screaming “Bead Me, I’m An Iguana!” The iguana that resulted was bead embroidered flat first, then stuffed when I appliquéd him onto the quilt.
